Position Description

The Haskayne School of Business invites applications for sessional instructors to teach the following accounting courses during the Fall 2017 Term:                           

  • ACCT 361 L01 - Cost Accounting   
    MW  14:00 - 15:15
  • ACCT 361 L02 - Cost Accounting   
    MW  15:30 - 16:45
  • ACCT 361 L03 - Cost Accounting   
    MW  17:00 - 18:15
  • ACCT 421 L01 - Taxation      
    MW  15:30 - 16:45
  • ACCT 421 L02 - Taxation               
    MW 17:00 - 18:15
  • ACCT 601 L03 - Intro Financial Accounting 
    R  18:00 - 20:50

Please Note: the lecture dates for the Fall 2017 term are September 11, 2017 to December 31, 2017. Registrar Scheduled Final Exams held December 11 - December 21, 2017, if applicable.

To apply, submit a letter of application to the attention of Sylvia Fuchek at indicating which course(s) and lecture(s) you are interested in teaching. In support of your application, please provide the following:

  • Current CV containing a discussion of relevant teaching experience (courses taught, textbooks uses, where and when taught)
  • Three (3) letters of reference

Any additional information including teaching evaluations for courses you may have taught previously, a tentative course outline, a statement of teaching philosophy, and any restrictions (e.g., scheduling constraints) that you might have would strengthen your application and help the Area Chair in their selection process.  Please note that incomplete applications will not be considered. 

The amount of remuneration is calculated according to the Collective Agreement, Schedule B. Please see the Faculty Association's website for further information regarding conditions of employment and remuneration.

Deadline to submit applications is June 27, 2017.
